Mandated H1N1 Vaccines For Some AF Children
I am not anti-vaccine, but this mandate disturbs me.

For lack of a better word; I think that mandate is asinine! H1N1 is a virus, and hence may or may not protect the person vaccinated. It all depends upon whether or not the virus has mutated. The most they should do is 'strongly suggest' at-risk children to be vaccinated. It isn't as stable (long lasting) of a vaccine as those such as polio, MMR, etc. Therefore, it should remain OPTIONAL as to whether or not a parent has their child immunized for H1N1.
Those exposed more readily to the virus have already been mandated to have the vaccine (medical care providers, etc) and I can [kind of] see the point to that; but still it doesn't prevent the spread from one individual to another if proper hand washing procedures haven't been adhered to. The latter of which IMO is the most common spread of the virus.
While I am not a proponent of anti-vaccines as a whole, it is quite disturbing to see this particular vaccine mandated at a military installation.
